The wires near the ears really started cracking around the 2yr mark for mine. :( Electrical tape worked for a while, but its getting worse. I'm using a pair of UE (ultimate ear) ear buds now which seem to be designed against that particular type of wire insulation cracking.

Re: Plantronics Headset One Year Warranty Service

Two things-

1) Was Peanut trying to call his buddy Butter?

2) You need to just buy a Prius with handsfree bluetooth built in, and you don't need to deal with this mess.

Happy Friday!

Asa

Re: Plantronics Headset One Year Warranty Service

I've enjoyed Shure's 2 year warranty, and I got a replacement when I needed one. I also had to pay the shipping to send the defective part to them.

Re: Plantronics Headset One Year Warranty Service

While I definitely love my 510, I find that on occasion it will just drop the audio - it does not lose the connection to the phone, but audio transfers back to the handset, which is infinitely annoying. I guess I should check if that is a documented issue, and if mine is even within the 1-year period. Probably 1 year and 1 day old today. Great!
