  • We should definitely bring back the old school Israelite covenants - splitting an animal in half and walking through. As Pastor Matt says, he keeps trying to get people to do that for their wedding, to be more scriptural, but for some reason people refuse... haha.

    It is cool though, that in the Old Testament, the blood of (dead) animals was used, but now it is the blood of (the living) Christ, which points to the life of the covenant we have with Him, as you've mentioned.
  • I agree that a promise can certainly have more "life" when it's consistently revisited- the way the promise is carried out constantly adapts to new situations while the spirit of the promise remains true.
