    Yah I love that idea of being open handed. Pastor Matt spoke at Flood on the same verse (Rev. 3:20), and noted how often we're standing on the other side of the door, unable to open it for Jesus to come in because our hands are full of things we're holding onto and unwilling to give up (and trust that that which Jesus would bring in with Him would be better than that which we're holding onto).
